«Pulcinella / Danses Concertantes» is the album by Igor Stravinsky with the City of London Sinfonia and Richard Hickox, released in 1989 on CD.
The album brings together two works by Igor Stravinsky. Pulcinella is a one-act ballet based on music by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi; Danses concertantes is a work for chamber orchestra. The City of London Sinfonia, conducted by Richard Hickox, features Ann Murray, Martyn Hill and David Thomas in a performance that reflects the composer's rhythmic wit and orchestral clarity.
Single CD with digital recording. The cover indicates that Pulcinella is offered in complete version (complete ballet); Danses concertantes completes the program.
For classical music and ballet enthusiasts interested in Stravinsky's works and recordings by the City of London Sinfonia.
