«Quiet Nights» is the jazz and bossa nova album by Diana Krall, released in 2009 on CD by Verve Records.
The album brings together ballads and bossa novas performed by Diana Krall with a quartet and orchestra, with arrangements evoking the Brazilian music of Jobim and an intimate atmosphere. It includes versions such as «The Boy from Ipanema», «Walk on By» and «Quiet Nights», as well as songs in Portuguese like «Este Seu Olhar».
The record was produced by Tommy LiPuma and Diana Krall, recorded by Al Schmitt and Steve Genewick, with arrangements and direction by Claus Ogerman. It includes two bonus tracks: «How Can You Mend a Broken Heart» and «Every Time We Say Goodbye».
Recommended for fans of vocal jazz, bossa nova and female voices with a classic, relaxed sound.
