«Quintet» is the jazz album by Ingebrigt Håker Flaten Quintet, released in 2007 on CD.
The Norwegian musician leads his quintet in a recording that starts from free jazz and moves fluidly between rock, funk, hip hop and classical music. With original and borrowed repertoire, including a composition by Charlie Haden, the result is hard to classify and stands out for its quality and intensity.
Import edition with a single disc and 45 minutes of duration; the cover indicates the Jazzland Acoustic label.
For listeners of avant-garde jazz and improvised music seeking a dense and unconventional listen.
