«Rare Volume 1» is the Ultravox compilation, released in 1993 by Chrysalis Records Ltd., on CD.
The CD brings together B-sides, rarities and live recordings from Ultravox's early eighties period. Among its 17 tracks are «Waiting» and live versions of «The Thin Wall» and «All Stood Still»; the set reflects the band's synth-pop, with prominent synthesizers and an atmospheric production.
For collectors and fans of Ultravox interested in the band's lesser-known material.
