«Reckoning» is the second album by American rock band R.E.M., released in 1984 by IRS Records, on CD.
Second album by R.E.M., with alternative rock built on guitar riffs and catchy choruses, where the crossover with country is heard in tracks like «(Don't Go Back To) Rockville» or «Pretty Persuasion». The variety between tracks keeps interest and makes several melodies stick in your head at once.
Remastered edition from 1992, within The I.R.S. Years series, with five extra tracks over the original album.
For alternative rock and indie listeners interested in R.E.M.'s early period and in remastered editions with extra material.
