«Released» is the compilation album by Nina Simone, released by RCA Camden on CD.
The CD brings together a selection of Nina Simone's output for the RCA Camden label, where jazz, blues and soul coexist. It alternates protest-message readings with intensely powerful ballads, always with her powerful voice and the piano at the center. A panorama of her versatility that serves both as a sample of her best-known period and as an entry point to her discography.
Single CD edition, 1 disc, 69 minutes long, with songs performed in English.
Suitable for jazz, blues and soul fans looking for a representative selection of Nina Simone.
