«Respighi: Trittico Botticelliano» is the album by Janet Baker, the City of London Sinfonia and Richard Hickox (2010, Brilliant Classics, CD).
The program brings together works by Respighi: the Trittico Botticelliano, an orchestral triptych inspired by three Botticelli paintings (including «La primavera» and «The Birth of Venus»), Il Tramonto and Aretusa, orchestral songs on poems by Shelley, and Lauda per la Natività del Signore, a pastoral cantata for soloists, choir and wind instruments.
In addition to Janet Baker, the performers include Patricia Rosario (soprano), Louise Winter (mezzo-soprano), Lynton Atkinson (tenor) and The Richard Hickox Singers. The CD consists of one disc.
For classical music listeners interested in Respighi's orchestral and vocal repertoire.
