«Rituals of Transformation» is the double compilation by Joachim Ernst Berendt, released in 1998 by Network on CD.
Rituals of Transformation juxtaposes Mozart's Requiem with chants by Tibetan and Gregorian monks, in performances by the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker and the Württembergischer Kammerchor. The result is a sonic journey that presents music as a ritual of transformation, alternating symphonic, vocal and liturgical elements.
«Rituals of Transformation» was released in Germany by Network Medien with catalog number 41.867; it spans choral, Renaissance and medieval styles.
For listeners interested in the fusion of classical music, Gregorian chant and traditional sounds of Tibet.
