«Robert Schumann» is the book with CD by Faustino Núñez dedicated to the composer, published by Edilibro in the La Gran Música Paso a Paso collection.
The book follows the life of Schumann, one of the great names of German Romanticism: he was born in Zwickau in 1810, gave up law and, after injuring his hand, abandoned his career as a pianist. Married to Clara Wieck, he kept composing; he was also a writer and suffered from depressive crises. The CD includes the Piano Concerto, Scenes from Childhood and Carnival.
The La Gran Música Paso a Paso collection combines biography and CD. The text is in Spanish; the CD features recordings from the Deutsche Grammophon label.
For classical music fans and readers of composer biographies.
