«São Vicente Di Longe» is the album by Cesária Évora, released in 2001 by LusAfrica, on CD.
The repertoire moves between morna and coladeira, traditional genres from Cape Verde, with the unmistakable voice of Cesária Évora, the 'barefoot diva'. The compositions convey the melancholy and warmth of the islands, with Afro-Cuban-inspired arrangements.
European edition with catalog number 362452; sung in Cape Verdean Portuguese and comprising a single disc.
For world music collectors and admirers of traditional Cape Verdean morna.
