«Satie: Early Piano Works, Vol. 3» is the album by Erik Satie performed by Reinbert de Leeuw, released in 1989 by Philips on CD.
The album brings together piano works from the early Erik Satie: «Sonneries de la Rose+Croix», «Pièces froides», «Prière» and «Quatre préludes». These are short pieces with singular harmony, far from Romantic virtuosity, revealing the experimental vein of the French composer before his famous Gymnopédies.
It is the third volume in the «Early Piano Works» series. Recorded in Haarlem (Netherlands) in May 1977; original release in 1980 and remastered reissue in 1989, with 14 tracks and a duration of 48:48.
