«Satie: Works for Piano» is the compilation of piano works by Erik Satie, released in 2015 by Warner Classics on CD.
The 38 tracks bring together piano pieces by Erik Satie, performed by Aldo Ciccolini and, in the four-hand works, by Gabriel Tacchino. It includes the famous Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes, as well as Embryons desséchés, the Nocturnes and La Belle excentrique, combining serenity, humor and formal freedom.
The recordings were made between 1983 and 1986 and were remastered at Abbey Road Studios. The edition, with DDD sound and texts in English, German and French, lasts 71 minutes and 31 seconds.
For fans of classical music and the French piano repertoire of the early 20th century.
