«Serenades for Strings» is the classical music album by Antonín Dvořák and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, released by Marble Arch on CD.
The album brings together two serenades for string orchestra: the Serenade for Strings by Antonín Dvořák and the Serenade for Strings by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The recording is conducted by Yuri Ahronovitch and contrasts the lyrical, danceable character of the Czech score with the elegance and festive verve of the Russian one.
Single-disc edition, reissue from the United Kingdom with catalogue number MAC CD 912; the works belong to the Romantic era.
