«Soleá A Flamenco-Jazz Fantasy» is a various-artists compilation, released in 1993 by Act Music, on CD.
The soleá, a flamenco palo, gives its title and thread to this compilation bringing together names from flamenco and jazz: Camarón, Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, Morente, Sabicas, Miles Davis, Gil Evans, Chick Corea, John Coltrane, Al Di Meola, Jorge Pardo and the Modern Jazz Quartet. The result proposes a crossover between cante, guitar and jazz arrangements.
The CD consists of a single disc and was released by the Act Music label in Germany.
For fans of jazz fusion and flamenco interested in hearing great figures from both genres in one project.
