«Some Mother's Son» is the original soundtrack of the eponymous movie, composed and conducted by Bill Whelan, released on CD in 1997 by Celtic Heartbeat/Universal.
Composed for the eponymous movie, set in Northern Ireland in the 1980s, this music combines Celtic melodies with orchestral arrangements. Bill Whelan composed and conducted a score that accompanies the drama of a hunger strike during the Northern Irish conflict, with a sober and emotive tone typical of cinema and Celtic music.
European single-disc CD edition, released by the Celtic Heartbeat label and distributed by Universal. Catalogue reference: UND 53083.
For fans of movie soundtracks and Celtic music with orchestral accompaniment.
