«Space Capades» is the third volume in the Ultra-Lounge series, a various-artists compilation album released in 1996 by EMI on CD.
A collection of eighteen tracks of lounge, easy listening and space-age pop evoking the atomic imagery of the fifties and sixties. Includes «Calcutta» and «Sabre Dance» by Les Baxter, plus «Istanbul (Not Constantinople)» by Joe «Fingers» Carr, with orchestras and combos remastered from 20-bit recordings.
Single remastered CD edition; produced and compiled by Brad Benedict with digital remastering by Bob Norberg.
For fans of lounge, easy listening and space-age pop from the fifties and sixties, with the retro-futuristic sound of the Ultra-Lounge series.
