«Symphonies 16-26» is the compilation album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart performed by the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of London conducted by Erich Leinsdorf, released by MCA Classics as a double CD.
This compilation brings together eleven Mozart symphonies recorded by the London orchestra under Leinsdorf's baton, with digitally remastered sound. The program spans a broad stretch of the Salzburg composer's symphonic output and allows one to follow his stylistic evolution during those years.
1988 release from the MCA Classics label in the Double Decker series. In its original packaging it is presented as two discs, one with symphonies 16-20 and another with 21-26, although this copy corresponds to the second volume.
