«Symphony No. 6 in A Minor "Tragic"» is Mahler's album with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and Antoni Wit on double CD (Naxos, 1993).
Symphony No. 6 in A minor, "Tragic", is a dramatic work by Mahler: in four movements it alternates marches, lyricism and expressive violence, with passages such as the Allegro energico, the Scherzo and the Andante moderato before a somber Finale. The version by the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra with Antoni Wit accentuates that character.
Naxos recording made in the concert hall of Polish Radio in Katowice in December 1992. Edition on 2 CDs, total duration 84:04, reference 8.550529-30.
Aimed at classical music enthusiasts and Mahler symphony fans.
