«Taking Flight: Music for Euphonium and Orchestra» is the album by Adam Frey, released in 2007 on MSR Classics, on CD.
Adam Frey plays the euphonium as soloist with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Bruce Hangen, in a program of orchestral music that brings together pieces such as «Gabriola Oboe», «Wellington Duet» and «Mysterious Theme». The recording foregrounds the sonority of this brass instrument within a symphonic framework.
For classical music and instrumental concert enthusiasts, particularly those wanting to discover the solo repertoire of the euphonium.
