«The Beacon Street Collection» is the album by No Doubt, released in 1997 by Interscope on CD.
The record brings together ten ska and pop rock tracks recorded by No Doubt in various locations in Southern California, including their home studio on Beacon Avenue, in Anaheim. With the direct energy of their early years, it anticipates the sound popularized by Tragic Kingdom; standout songs include ‘Open the Gate’, ‘Blue in the Face’ and ‘Total Hate '95’.
The recording was first released independently in 1995; this CD edition is the 1997 reissue, now distributed by Interscope.
For No Doubt fans and ska and pop rock listeners who want to discover the period before Tragic Kingdom.
