«The Dorsey Years» is the Frank Sinatra compilation, released in 1993 by Charly Records Ltd. on CD.
This compilation brings together recordings Frank Sinatra made with Tommy Dorsey's orchestra between 1940 and 1942, the period when his voice became the band's main attraction. The repertoire shows the singer within swing and American popular song, with big band arrangements and a style that anticipates his artistic personality.
One-disc CD compilation, catalogue number CDCD 1133.
Aimed at fans of vocal jazz, swing and big bands who want to discover Frank Sinatra's origins.
