«The Four Seasons» is the album of baroque concertos by Antonio Vivaldi, released in 1988 by Intersound Inc. on CD.
The work brings together the four concertos for violin and string ensemble with which Vivaldi musically evokes each season of the year; the writing for strings describes nature in concertos such as «La primavera», «El verano» and «El otoño».
The performance is by Jaap Schröder with the Concerto Amsterdam, in a digital recording with catalog number CDQ 2021.
Aimed at fans of classical music, baroque repertoire and recordings of violin concertos.
