«The Gift» is the blues album by Joe Louis Walker, released in 1988 by HighTone Records on CD.
On The Gift, Joe Louis Walker develops contemporary blues with the electric guitar as the lead, passages close to soul and gospel, and an expressive voice at the front. The songs alternate intensity and craft without losing the genre's roots, making the album a representative sample of the artist's sound in the late eighties.
The CD of The Gift was originally released on March 1, 1988, and includes a single disc; the songs are in English.
For fans of modern blues and electric guitar.
