«The Red Hot Chili Peppers» is the self-titled debut album by Red Hot Chili Peppers, released in 1984 by Classics on CD.
The album shows the band in its origins with energetic funk rock and provocative lyrics, anticipating the fusion that would make Red Hot Chili Peppers famous. It includes tracks like «True Men Don't Kill Coyotes» and «Green Heaven». Although it did not have the impact of later works, it retains the energy and attitude of the group in its early years.
Late-1980s reissue on CD with 11 tracks and a single disc; originally appeared in 1984.
For fans of the band and funk rock who want to discover the starting point of their sound.
