«The Sixth Sense» is the jazz album by Lee Morgan, released on CD.
Hard bop record in which Lee Morgan leads an ensemble with Jackie McLean, Frank Mitchell, Cedar Walton, Victor Sproles and Billy Higgins. The repertoire combines the trumpeter's compositions with pieces by other group members, such as «The Eighth Kink», «Short Count» and «Psychosis».
The sessions were recorded on September 12 and November 10, 1967 at Van Gelder Studio (Englewood Cliffs). The remastered edition adds three tracks not on the original LP.
