«The Snow Goose» is the progressive rock album by British band Camel, released in 1998 by Polygram Int'l on CD.
Conceptual and instrumental album based on the short story of the same name by Paul Gallico. Its music evokes a hermit in a lighthouse and a young woman who rescues an injured snow goose; the three come together before the Dunkirk evacuation in World War II. Lyrical melodies and orchestral arrangements define its sound.
CD edition of the album originally released in 1975; this 1998 reissue includes a single disc. Progressive rock, also described as symphonic.
For fans of progressive and symphonic rock from the seventies, especially those looking for instrumental conceptual albums.
