«The Stooges» is the debut rock album by The Stooges, released in 1969 by Elektra/Ada on CD.
The debut album by The Stooges, fronted by Iggy Pop, is a classic of garage rock and proto-punk. The distorted guitars and Iggy Pop's raw vocals define «I Wanna Be Your Dog» and «No Fun», songs that sum up the rebellion and energy of late-sixties rock.
The CD edition contains eight songs and was produced by John Cale; the original recording was made on analog equipment.
Audience interested in the origins of punk and in sixties garage rock.
