«This Kid's the Greatest!» is the compilation by Kid Ory and his Creole Jazz Band, released in 1992 by Good Time Jazz on CD.
A traditional jazz compilation capturing the Dixieland sound of New Orleans with Kid Ory's Creole Jazz Band at the forefront. Kid Ory's trombone defines the ensemble's character and becomes the lead voice in a repertoire of genre classics, with brass dialogues and a rhythm section driving the collective phrasing.
The tracks were recorded between 1953 and 1956, and this CD presents them digitally remastered. The album consists of a single disc.
For traditional jazz collectors and fans of New Orleans Dixieland.
