The 16th recording by the perennially popular Bavarian world-traveller and multi-instrumentalist features Micus's debut performances on the Armenian duduk, an exceptionally expressive forerunner of the oboe and clarinet. Towards The Wind is an eight-part suite--almost classical in its structural development--in which he uses the basic elements of air, wood and metal to tell an engrossing musical tale. A mesmerising, "meditative" album that will appeal strongly to the world music market.
