«Tropical Brainstorm» is the album by Kirsty MacColl, released in 2000, on CD.
The album blends pop rock with Latin rhythms such as salsa, mambo and rumba, stemming from Kirsty MacColl's interest in Cuban music. Songs like «In These Shoes?» and «Mambo De La Luna» stand out for their ironic lyrics and danceable melodies, in a repertoire that combines festive energy with more relaxed moments.
It is Kirsty MacColl's final studio album, recorded in English and released as a single CD.
A good choice for fans of Kirsty MacColl and lovers of pop with Latin rhythms looking for a danceable album with witty lyrics.
