«Villancicos Populares Españoles» is a compilation of traditional Spanish carols by the Coro Infantil, released in 2003 by RYQZ on CD.
The album brings together twelve popular carols from different regions of Spain performed by the Coro Infantil, such as «Esta noche nace el niño», «Tan tan» or «A Belén, pastorcitos». The lyrics evoke Christmas Eve, the birth of Jesus and the adoration of shepherds and Magi, with melodies that invite families to sing along.
The songs come from Andalusia, Aragon, the Canary Islands, Catalonia, Extremadura, Asturias, Castile, León and Santander; the recording, sung in Spanish, was released as a single disc.
For those seeking classic Spanish carols to set the mood for family Christmas celebrations.
