«Vivaldi, Il Furioso!» is a compilation album of works by Antonio Vivaldi, released in 2006 by Opus 111 on CD.
It brings together arias, overtures and concertos by Vivaldi, with a predominance of Baroque opera. Pieces include the motet «In furore giustissimae irae», the aria «Gemo in un pianto e fremo» from L'Olimpiade and the Violin Concerto RV 208 «Il grosso Mogul». It alternates virtuoso passages and moments of great vocal expressiveness.
It is part of the Vivaldi Edition series, reference OP 30432. Featuring Sandrine Piau, Philippe Jaroussky and Magdalena Kožená, with Rinaldo Alessandrini and Jean-Christophe Spinosi as conductors.
For fans of Baroque music and Vivaldi's opera.
