«Vladimir Horowitz: A Reminiscence» is the piano compilation by Vladimir Horowitz, released in 2001 by Sony Classical on CD.
The program brings together a selection of studio and live recordings Vladimir Horowitz made for Columbia Masterworks, with a largely serene tone. It includes Schubert's Impromptu in G flat major, Chopin Mazurkas and two short pieces by Rachmaninoff, alongside works by Scriabin.
The edition consists of a single disc; the cover shows an old photograph of Vladimir Horowitz framed like a postage stamp.
For those approaching Vladimir Horowitz for the first time and for classical music fans wanting an overview of his career.
