«Waldhorn Sonaten» is the CD album by Beethoven, Ries and Danzi, performed by Claude Maury and Guy Penson, released in 1991 by Ricercar.
It brings together three sonatas for horn and fortepiano: the Sonata in F major op. 17 by Beethoven, op. 34 by Ries and op. 28 in E-flat major by Danzi. Claude Maury plays the natural horn and Guy Penson a fortepiano from around 1820, in a historically informed performance.
The Belgian Ricercar edition carries the reference RIC 087062 and contains a DDD recording on a single CD.
For fans of classical music and historically informed performances on period instruments.
