«Wasp Star (Apple Venus Volume 2)» is the pop rock album by XTC, released in 2000 by Cooking Vinyl on CD.
The album takes XTC's pop rock across varied ground: energetic passages, serene ballads and ironic lyrics. «Playground», «Stupidly Happy» and «We're All Light» show that range, with elaborate arrangements and meticulous production.
The CD contains 12 songs, sung in English, and its title indicates it is part of the Apple Venus series.
For those who enjoy melodic 2000s pop rock and lyrics full of irony.
