«We Can Create» is the debut album by Maps, released on CD by EMI in 2007.
The record builds an atmospheric sound that crosses electronics with rock and shoegaze, through layers of textures and an enveloping character. Among its tracks are «So Low, So High», «You Don't Know Her Name» and «Don't Fear».
Maps is the project of James Chapman. The album was recorded without computers on a 16-track recorder, co-produced by Valgeir Sigurdsson and mixed by Ken Thomas. It has 11 tracks and 52 minutes.
Recommended for listeners of atmospheric electronics, indie, shoegaze and post-rock.
