«We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions» is the album by Bruce Springsteen, released in 2006 by Columbia, on CD DualDisc.
It collects thirteen traditional songs from the American folk repertoire, many of them linked to Pete Seeger, which Springsteen and his band reinterpret in a folk rock and country rock vein. Tracks such as «We Shall Overcome», «John Henry» or «Pay Me My Money Down» show the album's blend of acoustic roots and collective spirit.
The audio side contains the complete album in stereo PCM; the DVD side adds a 30-minute film about the recording, artist commentary and two bonus tracks.
For fans of Bruce Springsteen and American folk and country rock music.
