«Wesley: Symphonies» is the classical music album by British composer Samuel Wesley, released in 2000 by Chandos on CD.
Album with five symphonies by Samuel Wesley (1766-1837) written between 1781 and 1802, including the Sinfonia obligato in D major and the symphony in B-flat major. The London Mozart Players, conducted by Matthias Bamert, perform a program that starts from late classicism and, in some passages, already points towards romanticism.
The recording, on a single disc, runs 71:05 minutes and has the Chandos reference CHAN 9823.
Aimed at classical music enthusiasts, especially those interested in symphonies from the British repertoire.
