«Whiskey in the Jar» is the CD single by Metallica, released in 1999 on Vertigo/Universal Music Group.
The single contains Metallica's version of the traditional Irish 'Whiskey in the Jar', in the band's hard rock and heavy metal style, plus two live tracks: 'The Small Hours' and 'Killing Time', originally by Holocaust and Sweet Savage. The three recordings date from the group's period around their covers album 'Garage Inc.'.
It is the second part of a three-CD set, with catalogue number METDD 19 and graphic design based on press clippings.
For Metallica collectors and fans of covers and live recordings.
