«XXL» is the big band jazz album by Llibert Fortuny Electric Big Band, released in 2006 by Nuevos Medios, on CD.
The ensemble led by Llibert Fortuny moves in the territory of big band jazz, with arrangements that give prominence to the wind sections and to dialogues between instruments. The repertoire combines original pieces with own arrangements, and the project is linked to the Barcelona Jazz Festival, as reflected in its cover.
The recording was made in Spain and the cover features a minimalist design with the title and the group's name on a white background.
Recommended for fans of orchestral jazz and contemporary big band.
