«1000 Journals Project» is an art book by artist Someguy, published by Chronicle Books in hardcover (212 pages, in English).
It collects over 250 entries created by people who chanced upon one of the project's thousand blank journals, left on trains and in cafés or at doorsteps. Collage, writing, drawing and graphic art mix in a showcase of collective creativity, with pieces ranging from personal reflection to humor.
The original project was started by Someguy in 2000. The book, published in 2007, has a synthetic leather cover, two embroidered pages and a foreword by Kevin Kelly.
A book aimed at artists, designers, journalists and readers interested in personal expression and artistic collaboration.
