«11 Cuentos del Antiguo Egipto» is a children's storybook by Michel Laporte, published by Editorial Editex in paperback (120 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings together eleven short stories inspired by texts carved on tombs and papyri of ancient Egypt. Its protagonists, whether gods, people or animals, resemble one another in their sweet and cunning nature, and often learn life's lessons the hard way. With humor and tenderness, they show that the world has not changed that much since then.
It belongs to the ReCuentos collection from Editorial Editex. Translated from the French by Estela Sarah Martín Ruel. First edition published in 2008.
Recommended for young readers aged 7 to 9, especially those interested in mythology and the culture of ancient Egypt.
