A árbore que dá as lágrimas de Shiva

Synopsis of A árbore que dá as lágrimas de Shiva

«A árbore que dá as lágrimas de Shiva» is the poetry collection by Cesáreo Sánchez Iglesias, published by Edicións Xerais in paperback (280 pages, in Galician).

The poetry collection starts from dispossession and unlearning to look at the sacred: the tree as temple, the painted stone or the Mughal jewel. It approaches the invisible, names what remains and invokes the goddesses who overcome ignorance with knowledge, between beauty and the places where the cruelty of patriarchy erases the human.

First edition published on April 14, 2022. It belongs to the Edición Literaria - Poesía collection.

For readers of current Galician poetry interested in lyric with a spiritual dimension and a critical view of patriarchy.
