«A Calcutta avec Mère Teresa» is the reportage comic by Benoît Marchon and Noëlle Herrenschmidt, published by Bayard in paperback (46 pages, in French).
The album recreates a day in the life of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, structured as an illustrated reportage notebook. It arose from a trip by several journalists from the magazine Astrapi to India and reflects their daily work among the poorest with closeness and sensitivity.
The text is by Benoît Marchon and the illustrations by Noëlle Herrenschmidt. In 1986 it received the Coccinelle prize for best Christian comic.
Work aimed at a children's and young adult audience interested in spirituality and humanitarian aid.
