«A Dog Called Rod» is Tim Hopgood's children's picture book, published by Macmillan Children's Books in paperback (32 pages, in English).
Elsa lives on the 24th floor of an apartment building and dreams of having a dog, but her father thinks they are noisy, messy and expensive. Her imaginary friend, Rod, a dog from a place where dogs ride bicycles, enjoy modern art and eat spaghetti bolognese, will help her convince him.
Tim Hopgood also provides the illustrations for this illustrated edition, published in 2008, with glitter on every page.
Recommended for children aged 3 to 5, especially for those with imaginary friends, and useful as a first reading in English.
