«A Gestação da Chuva» is a literary work by Hélder Reis, published by 7 Dias 6 Noites in paperback (120 pages, in Portuguese).
The work presents an apparent simplicity behind which a great symbolic richness unfolds in every detail. It is an expression of the thoughts and feelings of a sensitive soul about life and death, and establishes an analogy between that inner journey and the gestation of rain, also laden with symbolism.
First edition published by 7 Dias 6 Noites in 2012, with illustrations by Ruy Silva and a preface by Manuel Luís Goucha.
For readers interested in symbolic prose, reflections on life and death, and illustrated editions in Portuguese.
