«A herdanza do Marqués» is the young adult mystery novel by Conchi Regueiro, published by Baía Edicións in paperback (296 pages, in Galician).
Zoila moves to Vilacardoso and discovers the town hides dark secrets; Xandra knows them because her family carries an ancestral curse. Their friendship connects the Ervedelo house, local legends, and the history of the Negro family and the Marqués de Vilacardoso. Two first-person voices, Xandra's traditional one and Zoila's chats, contrast rural and urban life.
The book belongs to the Meiga Moira collection, within the Children's and Young Adult line, and includes illustrations by Noemí López Vázquez. It was published in 2011.
A read for young people interested in mystery and rural legends, and for those seeking Galician narrative.
