«A paixão turca» is Antonio Gala's romantic novel, published by Publicações Dom Quixote in paperback (404 pages, in Portuguese).
Desideria Oliván, a woman from Huesca with a disappointing marriage, meets Yamam on a trip to Turkey and, swept away by passion, leaves everything to live in Istanbul. The relationship, narrated as intimate notebooks, becomes increasingly dramatic and sordid: a bitter meditation on extreme love.
Portuguese translation of «La pasión turca», originally published in 1993; this Portuguese edition is from 2000.
For readers of romantic and dramatic novels who appreciate a bitter, reflective approach to love.
Antonio Gala Velasco was a Spanish poet, playwright, novelist, and writer.
