«A partir du mot Russie» is Philippe Jaccottet's travel notebook, published by Fata Morgana in paperback (60 pages, in French).
Starting from the word «Russia», Jaccottet undertakes an inner journey that moves from the picturesque scene to the metaphysical experience. He summons Dante, Cervantes, Nietzsche, Rimbaud, Dostoevsky and Shalamov to build a geography of words and images; the itinerary, somber and roaring, is more evocative than any travel notebook.
The recorded publication date is September 9, 2022 and corresponds to the first French edition.
For readers of French literature and travel narratives with a philosophical undertone.
Philippe Jaccottet was a Swiss-born Francophone poet and translator.
