«A Selva dos números» is the children's book by Ricardo Gómez Gil, published by Ediciones Obradoiro, S.A. in paperback (120 pages, in Galician).
An old tortoise invents numbers and wants to prove their usefulness to the Lion, who does not find them useful. Elephants, bees and monkeys, however, give them absurd uses, in a fable about ingenuity and mathematics.
First title in the series «Tuga, la tortuga»; illustrated by M. Teresa Gonzalez Tornos.
For early readers and for families or schools that want to bring mathematics closer with a humorous animal story.
